AI for Slides Privacy Policy

Last Updated: 31 October 2026

This policy explains how Simple Metrics Ltd ("SimpleMetrics", "we") handles your information when you use the AI for Slides add-on for Google Slides. Our general privacy policy covers this website.

1. What the add-on can access

  • The presentation you open it in, to add your slides. It cannot see your other presentations or your Google Drive.
  • Your Google account identity and email, to apply your plan and usage limits and to send product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.

2. How we use your data

  • Your description, links and uploaded files are sent to AI service providers to research the topic and write and design your slides. They do not use this data to train their models.
  • To check a layout, we draw it on a temporary slide in our own Google account, take an image of it and delete the slide.

3. What we store

  • Your decks: your request, link and file names, research notes, outline and slide designs, so you can make and redo slides later. We do not keep your uploaded files.
  • Your account: your plan, usage counts and billing reference, linked to a scrambled code made from your Google account ID.
  • Service logs: counts, timings and costs, with no request text, file contents, names or email addresses.

Our service runs in the United States, and stored records are encrypted.

4. Who we share it with

Only with the service providers that run our service, make your slides and process payments. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

5. Limited Use

AI for Slides' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalised AI or machine learning models.

6. Your choices and rights

To remove the add-on's access, uninstall it and remove it at myaccount.google.com/permissions. To access, correct or delete your data, email [email protected] from the Google account you used. If you are in the UK or EEA, you can also complain to your data protection authority.

7. Changes and contact

We will post any changes on this page and update the date above. Questions: Simple Metrics Ltd, [email protected].
